what's for dinner?

Creamy Enchiladas

1 small onion- chopped
2 cans cream of chicken
1 pint sour cream
1 can chopped green chili's

cooked chicken - 4 breasts (or I'll take the chicken off one of those precooked rotisserie chickens)

grated cheddar cheese

tortillas

Preheat oven to 350. Mix together first 4 ingredients in large pot. (I usually cook the onion a little to take out some of its sharpness). Heat until warm. Take out about 3/4 cup of mixture and set aside. Mix cooked chicken into remainder. Scoop into tortillas and add cheese as desired. wrap up and place in 9x13 pan. Put remaining mixture over the top of the enchiladas and sprinkle with cheese. Cover and bake for 30 minutes at 350.

Best part of this recipe is that my kids all eat it without complaining. That's nearly a miracle. :)

I invite all of you to share whats for dinner too! I could use some easy and yummy recipes! (pretty please with sugar on top!!! I'll be checking your blogs)

A Goose story

Goose: "Mom, you know how you said I couldn' t mow the lawn..."

Mom: "well, yea" (not by yourself anyway)

Goose: "I'm feeling really crestfallen about that."

Mom: (somewhat surprised that he felt that way and REALLY surprised at his choice of words) "I'm really sorry you're so upset about that."

Goose: (long pause) "Actually I just said that to see if you knew what crestfallen meant."

All I could do was shake my head and laugh. Benson has a habit of using words that I don't think belong in mainstream society anymore. Mainly because people like *ME* have no idea what they mean and I really don't like to feel stupid. Like father, like son. At least I knew what this word meant.

Why is it

**warning, baby poop story ahead, read at your own risk**

I got the cutest outfit from my sister in law for Daniel. He's just now fitting it and has worn it a total of 3 times so far. Well, attempted to wear it. EVERY time I put him in this outfit, he manages to have one of those out of control, completely out of the diaper, how is that possible, poops. I was sort of laughing about that this morning when I put the outfit on him again. Sure enough, mid morning, he poops, but amazingly, not everywhere. well. at least not yet.

It still amazes me how much poop a little baby can make. While changing his diaper, he decided that was prime time to make sure he kept his record. (You know that instant of a moment between taking one diaper out and getting the next one under, yea, then.) Poop everywhere, including all over the cutest outfit in the world. I think he hates it. What other explanation could there possibly be? Doesn't matter though, boy, I'm washing it and putting it on again because I LOVE IT. so there.

I thought about taking a picture of the mess, but I thought you would appreciate NOT seeing it even more. *sigh*

By request, a picture of the little stinker in his outfit (without the poop):

Need feedback

I know you're probably sick of my business stuff, but I'm throwing it out to you anyway. What do you think of this? Its 9.5"x11.75" and created from the digital images of pressed flowers I've collected. The question is, who is my target market for this? I made it with my daughters room in mind, but do you think it could extend out of the young girl sphere?

Thanks for all your opinions and support, have I mentioned how much I appreciate all of you?

:)

When it rains

No, we don't *usually* have a stream running through our property. Records kept since 1871 say Saturday's rain marks worst in more than century for our area. This is what 6 point something inches of rain falling in one day does to our yard. Luckily we kept power so our sump pump just kept plugging away.

And the next gals to pay it forward are . . .

drum roll please . . .

Devri! Nora! and Corrine! My older 3 kids all picked one name out of the hat. I have to admit to really wanting to pick out a few more names. Sorry gals! I'll surely have to do this again. Or just send you something because I love you too. lol. If you could each email me at cherylanne @ designs-in-floral.com, I'll work out the details like your current addresses etc. Thanks!

Man, am I in trouble. . .

...in about 10 years give or take. oh dear.

FYI, you can comment to participate in the pay it forward through the end of the week. On Saturday I'll pick my winners.

Saturday, September 6, 2008

Alright, its my turn to pay it forward

Here is how it works, someone made something for Corrine, in turn she made something for three people, and therefore I am going to make something wonderful for three lucky people.

All you have to do is comment that you'd like to participate. If you get picked you need to be willing to make something for three people.

Don't worry you don't have to have a blog, or even mail it to anyone, you can make something for your neighbor or your child's teacher. Just have to make something and give it to someone out of the blue.

I'm still trying to decide what to give, but you can be fairly sure it will involve flowers. lol! If you are picked, I may even let you decide! Lets make the world a better place and pay it forward!

As an after-note, just want to let you know I will be using random # selection to find my winners. :) Put the numbers in the hat and let my kids pull out 3... :)

Dang this boy is cute.

Hope I don't offend with my language, but take a look at this cutie!

Not to brag or anything, but, well, who am I kidding, I'm his mom, and I'm going to brag!! He is such a happy boy! He rolls over on accident sometimes, he coos and smiles constantly. He thinks peek-a-boo is the funniest game EVER, and has an infectious laugh. We just love him to pieces. :) Oh, and I nearly forgot, one of his BEST traits, is he sleeps through the night. He has for months. He must really love me. :)
