I'm saving the world one sandwich baggie at a time!

Ok, this might be a little cheesy, but I'm so excited about my idea! Check it out:

I made a sandwich wrapper that doubles as a placemat! I've been thinking about my kids going back to school. I'm actually not anxious for it, but that's another story. Anyway, I bought my kids some reusable lunch bags and it got me to thinking how many plastic baggies I must go through in a school year. And now, I'll have 2 kids eating lunch at school. I went to Etsy, my favorite online shop and searched for reusable sandwich bags. There were a few there, but they just weren't the right fabrics to excite me. So, I measured my bread and made one myself! Goose likes his alot (not pictured). He even told me that it was such a great idea that I should sell them. :) Anyone wanna buy a sandwich wrap?

I LOVE the idea!!!!! I always wrap ours in a paper towel and then put them in a sandwich tupper-ware thing... but these are so creative! Do they stay together with velcro? Let me know how much you are charging for them, lol!!

Molly, you've made my day! If anyone else actually wants to buy one, I'm going to charge $7, and I'll ship for free. :) They do stay closed with velcro by the way.

You are so stinkin' creative. I feel like any of the creative juices I have had are long since gone these days. Someday I will create again...someday! :)

Holy crap! You are good. Your talents blow me out of the water. I would have never thought in a million years about reusing plastic baggies, but that is surely a cute and fun idea. I love it. You have to start making them and then selling them on your website or at least to friends...:):)

What a great idea..and you should be proud of yourself..I tell you, the best ideas come from moms..How about writing the plastic bag company..look at the woman with crocs and the things she made for them..the croc people bought her idea, the little flowers,etc.. you put in the holes to decorate crocs..Try it..you never know..I would try and sell the idea..especially with everyone going green..just a thought.

I love it! Such a good idea! By the way, I remember meeting you at C of J and that Lynn was always using you to do all the tricks and hard stuff. You were so nice and friendly and I am so glad we stayed in touch through the years since then!
