I guess I'm ready to talk.

I could hardly bring myself to say it, but I guess I'm ready. Benson was laid off on Thursday. The banking industry isn't doing well right now, and I guess it finally hit our home. We have a severance package that will get us through a few months. He was unhappy at work, so hopefully this is a blessing in disguise and he finds a great job that he loves. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. They are truly appreciated.

Oh I am truly sorry. I have some issues myself, but I am not ready to talk either.. The world is a scary place right now. Satan is working over time, and I know he will find something, You will still be in our prayers for a job to come... my husbands concrete is basicly non- exstistant right now. The economy is killing everyone. And Everyone is rootin' for Obama to save the day, I am sure it will not get better with him, only worse. who knows, only Heavanly Father.

What a stinky time of year too. I'm sorry but glad to hear you have a couple months pay still coming. Hopefully that will give you the time you need. Prayers for your family.

Well, this is one of those moments where I can say that I know exactly how you feel. We'll keep you in our prayers, and just remember that miracles come after the trial of our faith.

I'm so sorry to hear that. Timing is great isn't it? We're in the middle of job searching right now too, not fun. It seems like when it rains in poors. With all of the economic turbulance going on right now, it's nice to know that we have a living prophet, apostles, and other church leaders to listen to. President Packer just spoke to us at Stake conference and said to be faithful not fearful. We love you tons and will be praying!

I'm so sorry :( When I told Raymond he said that he thought Benson was once thinking about working at the Fed and that they are still hiring examiners... and he has banking experience... anyways, have Benson talk to Raymond. We'll keep you guys in our prayers...

It was interesting reading over all these comments and realize that we've all been there before. It's happened to us 3 times in 5 years. I do know how you feel. But no amount of empathy can take that away from you so instead, I'll just send you some prayers. Keep your head up, Heavenly Father has something better instore for you. It may not seem like it right now but it will. It did for us. Your in our thoughts!

Cheryl, have Benson give me a call in the next day or so. I always do a little job hunting on the side just in case so I have a few leads that may be interesting to him. I'm not sure anything I'll have anything if he wants to stay in banking but I know he has a strong IT background. I will be busy this evening until about 9:30 but he can reach me at 630-803-1180.
