How do YOU turn your luck around?

What do you do when you're in a funk? This house project has given me more grey hairs than my children! The latest joy...the brick arrived! Only problem is it's not the brick I want! Not only that, but we can't get all the permits we need until we get a plat of survey. We should have received one when we bought the house, but we never got a copy. The mortgage company says they don't have it and the title company says the mortgage company should have it. I feel like pigpen, with a cloud of darkness following me around. Now we have to pay for a new survey. I'm getting more and more depressed and pessimistic. Everything that can go wrong, is. HELP!!! I need to see the lighter/happier side of life. Any advice? I do still find joy in my family, so its just the situation. Feel free to send some good karma or simple prayers our way. :)

Girl, I know the feeling! I feel the same way with some of the stuff we are trying to do right now. Keep your chin up.....and a little chocolate wouldn't hurt. For real though, when I'm in a funk, the best medicine is laughter...I figure if I'm not laughing, I'm crying...and well, crying messes up my make-up! ;)

i am sorry, know the feeling! you could film a pink panther movie in the front :)

At least they can't use the brick right now, what if the wrong brick arrived, they had the permits and it was half way up the walls? that'd be a big mess...

Good luck with the surveys...what a pain..sending good vibes...

Gavin and I can understand the frustration of everything working against you and I know that this is going to seem really "preachy" but faithful scripture study, prayer, and fasting have been a real life saver during times that we've wanted to pull our hair out and cry. And you've made a good move in asking others to pray for you...it never hurts. You'll be in ours.

Ya know when things go wrong, it means something big is coming your way.... Satan does everything to try to bring us down.. Stay on top, don't give up, and to tell you the truth nothing has gone right with us lately either...

i'll be sending some good karma your way. in the meantime, i say tomorrow night you put the kids down early, grab your hubby and some chocolate ice cream and snuggle up to a good movie...preferably something cheesy that will give you warm fuzzies. that always cures my stress times.

We have something in our house called "Trevor luck". If something can go wrong it will. I agree with the phrase, "laughter is the best medicine". Now when something goes wrong, we laugh and say "well of course it went wrong, it's us!" We laugh a lot at our house.
